That's the stupid thing about Tito's love for the guy. Can't get out of the box, can't steal bases, and clanks balls he gets to (or runs into other fielders).

But when he gets on base, the next 8 batters in the lineup inexplicably get fastballs right down the plate.

If Velez is a little quicker out of the box and gets on, who knows how that inning turns out. yeah, I'm grasping at straws, but still.....

The thing about it was it wasn't even close - he was out by a mile. You're expecting it to be a bang bang play, putting pressure on the D and all that, but it's just not close. Might as well be molina running out there.
