Guess yesterday was the aberration from the reality of this team. This is not a playoff team, and if they sneak in they have zero chance to do much and yes that's knowing the playoffs are a 'crapshoot'. But you must outscore the other team and they can't for a series, not anyone good.

I would love to see a league wide breakdown of bases loaded situations, broken down by number of outs. It feels like the Giants are really bad producers in these situations, but I dont have the analytics to support my opinion or to prove me wrong.

There was at least 1 0-out juice situation last night where we only scored 1 run, and we had a 1-out juice today with only 1 run as well (via a walk, not a hit, btw).

This team is beyond un-fun to watch. I was busy in meetings all morning/early afternoon, but planned on watching the later innings when I was freed up. I saw the score was 5-0 and decided I wasn’t going to waste my time. I turned on the radio when it was 6-0 and heard the Giants score their run.

I still feel I gave this team more of my attention than it deserves.

Even when Stripling was pitching well recently the home runs still have been a problem. Hope the Giants figure out why he is giving up so many because he looks like he'll be returning in 2024 after all. In fact, all the players with opt outs at the end of the season will likely NOT exercise them, unless they really dislike playing in SF and will take a pay cut to go elsewhere.
