The word over here is that the Mets actually tried to get Zobrist along with Clippard, but Mr. Beane wanted too much for that deal, so they settled on just the pitchers. Not really sure where we would have put him, anyway, as the bench is getting kinda crowded with major-leaguers all of a sudden

Beane did very well in that Zobrist deal. I wouldn't have wanted my team to pay that.
