This really was a 2010 Giants game, Lincecum dominated, defense was nails, Torres was clutch, FYWW was in full effect, tzill-approved all in like 2 hours.

Man how much I'd love to have Timmy shove it in my face and become an effective starter again...

I always like Timmeh quotes, he's really smart about what he says and then he lets out the "FUCK YEAH". Love it.

Yup. When we pitch like this, the one or two hits is all it takes.

In the last 15 games, the Giants are 22 for 117 with RISP (.188)

They have also drawn 37 walks (an average of about 2.5/game)

Neither of these are going to get it done.*

* Unless the pitchers revert to tonight's standards.

Dude, I couldn't have said it better myself. I would 100% eat crow any way Timmeh would serve it up and do it with a smile on my face if he became CY Timmeh again.

I don't think there's any chance he becomes CY Timmeh again, his fastball velocity isn't coming back.

But it's not at all out of the question that he could get back to being a solid #3, with around a 3.80 ERA, and that would be just fine.

I don't want one great start to make me all giddy though, he's had a couple of days these last 2+ years where you say 'oh good, he's back' and then he shits the bed a couple times. So I'm not ready to dance in the streets on this, but it's great to see he's still capable of a start like that. If he has command like he did last night he doesn't have to throw 95 to get guys out.

Unfortunately, he is going against the perfect line-up to do just that. He'll have to throw 15 pitches to get Posey, Crawford and Belt, but everyone else could be dispatched with one or two each, so let's set the over/under at 31 after 3. I'll begrudgingly take the over. Though, it could be one of those nights. I'm four hours south, but based on what I know about our weather in comparison to what usually happens in SF when it's 65 and hazy here, this could be a rare, weakened marine layer. Basically, what I'm trying to say is I don't think this will be a tzill-approved ball game. 8-6 good guys!

EDIT: Expected to be 52 and cloudy. 5-3 good guys! ;)

Had to bump my debacle. Great game last night. Business man's Special Today!
