:censored: :censored: :censored: All we need is a flyout or bunt and we tie the game. Instead, Arias grounds into a freaking double play

Posey with a chance to tie the game instead grounds out, and if Scutaro stayed at first on the hit it would have been a double play

Since 5/18 (when the Giants were hitting .301 with RISP), they have hit .223 with RISP.

In the last 20 games, they have drawn 36 walks (1.8/game)

Before Pence's one run blast today, they Giants hadn't hit a home run almost 10 full games.

This is worse than the offensive ineptitude we saw in 2011.

Perhaps :panda: can fix it. Perhaps the whole team is in a funk together. Perhaps this is the real Giants' offense, and the one scoring 5 runs a game in the first month is a mirage.

Starting pitching is better, but giving up way too many easy runs.

And we are about to embark on a brutal road trip through LA, CO and CIN. Welcome to a less than .500 record. We were supposed to get healthy with this brief 7 game homestand, and we got worse instead. Maddening. Disgusting. Puzzling. Disappointing.

Losing 3 of 4 to the Fish?!?! Being outscored 16-8? Being out-homered 5-1? If we never see the Fish at AT&T again, it will be too soon. Scott Cousins' curse again.

Absolutely pitiful.

However, to be fair, Eovaldi was throwing some NASTY shit today. We gotta give him some serious credit.

That does not excuse the continuing abortions in the field or the lazy ineptitude of the bully.

What we have been witnessing has NOTHING to do with injuries (except possibly the bully to an extent). Posey has been sucking. Pence has been sucking. The rotation has been passable at best. The defense has been sucking. Affeldt has been sucking. Hell, even Bochy has been making some boneheaded calls.

This is NOT due to injuries. This is laziness and complacency.

Again i have to agree with Cal .... I don't think this is all about injuries. They contribute but the team is playing some really bad baseball. Just don't understand how our defense could just be playing this poorly. The RISP failure is similar to our 2011 season. Not getting many on base and when we do we can bring them around. SP is sketchy and the pen seems to be having it's issues as well.enter the 9th down 1 and promptly give them a 4 spot. Just frustrating.
