2009 was a team full of up-and-coming kids and was the first year in about 3 where we actually competed. Fun.

2010 was a team of transition and torture. The offense sucked, but the pitching was epic. We were in EVERY game. Of course it ended in the greatest way possible. Fun.

2011 was a hangover. The team still played torture-ball, which we had learned to love. Fun.

2012 was the bounce back year. The pitching was not as good as '10, but it still felt elite. It also ended the best way possible. Fun.

2013 is just horrible. Almost every game we win feels like we stole. The offense is streaky as hell. There is practically no discipline. The SP has decided to take the year off. The BP seams to spending their time in the pen passing the spliff instead of prepping for the game. Not fun.

Seriously, if we just didn't have anyone to play catcher (on days Posey has day off or plays 1B) I think there would be fewer passed balls

2008 was a year of re-birth. First full year of Timmeh and Pablo busted onto the scene in August. The group of Timmeh, Cain, Pablo, Wilson was going to be a great core, and Romo was having a "who is this guy" debut. Plus one of my favorite old Giants, Randy Winn, hit +.300. It was this year when I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I actually have fun in a 90 loss season.

Thing about this year, I still think we have a great team. Starting pitching has really turned it around lately, Cain, Bum and Tim are leading the way. Offense is 5th in the NL, so we aren't the only team having problems. Bullpen is very thin right now, but Casilla is coming back soon, and if we acquire Nolasco, that pushes Gaudin back into the bullpen and it's almost like a 2-for-1.

Despite it all, we are right in it. I do hope the second half brings more fun. Hell, lets start right now!

I did not have fun in 2011. Maybe a little bit in the early summer, but post-trade deadline it was all bad. Seems worse now that Wheeler is in the bigs.

This could be 9 straight freaking losses to the :censored: Marlins at home. The Marlins, a horrendous team with a laughing stock offense and a AAAA pitching staff. Yet, what does our offense do. We get a runner on then go first pitch double play, next guy flies out on the second pitch. We have 8-pitch innings, 5-pitch innings, hell we get excited over a single walk. How does Bochy respond to the zero patience "we need to be more aggressive, less passive". I love Bochy he has helped bring us 2 rings, but damn sometimes I just don't understand what the hell is going through his mind

I don't necessarily disagree. But this year is just BAD. I think a lot of it comes from the fact that we are all trained to like a good pitching dual, and we just are not getting those this year.

:agree:

2007-2012 was soooo many 2-1, 3-2 etc... It's how we grew up with this team that we root for now.

Now, 8-7 with scoring three in the 9th to win.

But like I said, the SP seems to be turning a corner, and the bullpen will too with good health (Casilla and Volgy). We'll at least get back to the baseball we knew and loved (hopefully).

7 out of 8 Miami runs so far in the series have scored with 2 outs. Pathetic.

Marlins may just refuse to leave San Francisco. Hell, they may just relocate here and ask to play the Giants every day
