Haven't really watched much of Cal yet, but USC has looked a bit vulnerable early this season. If you are going to go get them, now is the time. By mid season they might be firing on all cylinders again.

I had this on upset alert and so far Cal is coming out with some fight. Can USC weather the early storm and assert their power?

I'd call that a horrible coaching decision.

I understand they have a walk on kicker, but you are going to need that kid all year. Undermine his confidence by going for obvious FG situations seems pretty dumb to me.
