In a 2-2 game in the 7th, Kap leaves Hjelle out there to give up three hits, three walks, and four runs in 2/3 inning. Nice managing.

I am not at all sure why Beck and Hjelle are up. They have been traditional starters, not relievers. Seems to be a whole different mindset, and Hjelle is not making that adjustment.

OTOH, good outing by Strip. See what happens when you keep the ball in the yard? May that continue.

They seem to be making that (seemingly) sudden adjustment with all the AAA arms this year. It is definitely a trend that they are leaning into with guys in the AAA/AAAA level.

And Kap seems to be a poor manager of the bullpen.
