Game Thread: #4 Ohio State @ Purdue

I don't expect this thread to get too many hits. This is going to be a well-deserved carpet bombing by Ohio State. Purdue has been a pain in our ass in recent years, especially at Ross-Ade. Purdue is very, very bad this year, so I don't see this game being even remotely close.

I'm going to spend Saturday going on a brewery tour of NE Ohio, heading to Thirsty Dog in Akron, then to Cleveland to Great Lakes Brewing, Willoughby Brewing and the Fat Head Brewery. This is more interesting than this game is going to be.

Also, for the Oregon fans, you'll be interested to see your mascot is catching on here - the former Akron Aeros (AA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) has officially changed it's name to the Akron Rubber Ducks.

I honestly don't know if they will either but what is funny is that almost everybody didn't think they would cover the 15 point spread last week when they won by 49.

Going to Thirsty Dog tonight instead. Talked the girlfriend into it because she's getting roped into something tomorrow early, so I'll watch kickoff and probably the first half at my house. After that, it's northward to the other 3. We went to the Great Lakes opening day for Christmas Ale last week and I drove, so it's all her today. I'll set aside a few just for H2S.

Yeah, I think the line may be somewhat inflated based off last weeks result. I'd be curious as to what this line would have been last week at this time. Also, I don't know why, but Ohio State seems to struggle in Ross-Ade stadium, even when Ohio State has taken awesome teams into those games.
