Nice to see Ramos up and actually getting to play! Hope he can get a chance at regular playing time this time.

One player I've clearly been wrong about thus far in 2023 is DeSclafani. He's been dominant so far this season! Hope that can continue.

Weird decision to pull DeSclafani when Kapler did. He gives up a single, stays in the game, gets an out and then is pulled. He already got through the toughest part of their lineup, was under 100 pitches (89) and only needed two more outs. Why the sudden hook?

Some GM just offered FZ some aging poor hitting middle infielder for Disco. Had to shut him down.

So what happened?

The Royals called in a reliever, but changed their mind on who to bring in? I think Kap fucked up by announcing his change before the Royals announced their change(??). Kap is such a moron.

Nice win, nice to win a late one like that. Needed it.

Doval not used, hmmm
Yeah, interesting that Tyler was called to close it out. Wonder if it was a matter of not pitching Doval on consecutive days or Kapler really doesn't trust him in that situation right now.

Feels like another season like last year around .500

Not good not bad.

But still early.
.500 seems to be the early trend, for sure. But it is April and we cannot be complete Debbie Downers yet. Need to hold it back until at least early June. Of course, you ask some people and they would say that we are already sourpusses.

THAT is how to manage a bullpen. No Strippers or other SPs allowed after the sixth.

And, yeah, I know Doval has some eye-popping velocity, but I think we have enough decent arms in the BP to use them situationally. I'm not ready to call Doval our one and only closer just yet. Probably, eventually, but not yet.

It may be the case. I was all in on Doval once he got that 3rd pitch but he seems to have some mental things that need to be worked on.

Agreed. The physical tools are there, but I'm not sure the command of them is.

It would help to have a legit catcher for him to throw to.

Posey's a Hall of Fame lock. This is an example of how it's more than numbers.

Point noted, but it IS still only early April. Perhaps his intended pitch max was 90.
