That was a high quality Save. Nathan's best so far this year.

It was good save alright, but not without some red flags. His first pitch fastball was 89mph and 91 after that. After watching Scheppers hit 96-97 Nathan's fastball looked a little tired.

As long as he can locate the FB and throw the slider for strikes he'll be OK at 91, but if he gets behind in the count it could be a bad day at Black Rock. Hopefully, it was just one of those nights.

im from dallas but now living in houston, i won free tickets to the asstro/mariner game. My wife and i decided why not since they were along the foul line. While watching the astros lose 7-1 i was checking our score. Left the game in confidence with our 3 point lead. Got home to see they were down 6-3.
Came home and refused to put it on. I finally decided to check the score on my phone only to see its tied

and then of course seeing how it ended

Sounds like it wound up being a good nite for you and your wife. I live up in Pittsburgh but I have followed the Rangers since day one when they moved from Washington DC, which is where I am originally from.
Looking forward to coming down for some Ranger games this year. Arlington was always a good time for me.

its definitely was and its always a good night when the Rangers beat the Angels. Wow, so you know all too well the rough years we've had as Ranger fans. Glad its finally paying off being a fan (lets pretend the two failed world series didnt happen)

Moreland to the 9 spot, Gentry and Baker in for Martin and Murphy respectively

With a LHP on the mound, all moves I agree with, though moving Moreland to 9 behind Baker and Gentry seems a bit odd, especially Gentry

Oakland is beating Boston 13-0 in the 7th inning. It would be sweet for all of that A's offense to go to waste with a Rangers win tonight.

Three LH bats against a LHP is one LHB too many so am delighted with at least the temporary platoon in LF.

I just like how he could care less if he is boo'd or not. Think he actually likes it. Some don't handle it very well, but I won't mention any names in here
