What has been your initial takeaway on Aaron Boone? I definitely considered him to be a step down from Girardi, but I’m also not so sure how important a manger is in baseball anyway.

He hasn't done this before, that becomes clearer and clearer everyday. He got flat out-managed by Showalter in the Baltimore series, but Showalter's been at this for decades. I understand there's going to be a learning curve, and I trust Cashman, but I think perhaps he should have selected someone a bit more seasoned than Josh Bard to be his #2.

Imagine if Bogearts hadn't gotten hurt. What would the score have been. 16-1? 19-1? 20-1?!

That's gotta be worth at least another half-game in the standings, right?

Word! I was yelling at my TV to save some of those runs for another game.

Was it that cold in Chicago?

Windchill has been in the 20's for about every home game. Games have been moved up into the afternoon in the middle of the work week - so they don't have to play at night. Grounds crew has had to do snow removal to get the field ready to play after lake effect snowstorms before games (during the game in the home opener).

Yeah... been cold.
