I get Slater in the lineup at DH. He's still recovering and they want him to get ABs. Sabol is in probably because they want him to get work in behind the plate as much as possible. Wisely is probably getting a look because of Crawford's questionable status. Davis the same with Villar. Flores is part of the team so he needs some playing time. Not sure why the rest are in there (especially Meckler. I get that spring training is about getting some looks at the younger guys and giving them the chance to say that they played with the big boys but I would think, at this point, that would generally stop).

A reason of “we are just giving the regular guys a breather and we want to see the fringe guys in action”. I get it. I was just curious if there was a specific stated reason for the jarring B-ness of that lineup.
