When I lived in EP I played golf with Don Maynard nearly every weekend. What you mentioned is the one thing that would drive him insane with today's receivers. That and he's old school...thinks every player should be forced to play both ways. One of his ex teammates told me that Maynard was probably a better DB than he was receiver. Namath was glad he played offense in the pros.
