Yeah, this is just lame and lazy.

Not wanting to hear someone's opinion doesn't have to be because it's a different opinion.

I don't give a fuck what some celebrities opinion is on much of anything outside of their profession. Whether it agrees with mine or not.

I watch athletes because I like sports. I watch actors and actresses because I like movies and tv. I listen to bands and solo artists because I like music.

I really don't care what their opinions are outside of those areas. It's not why I'm watching them.

In fact, part of why I'm watching them is as an escape from all that other bullshit.

And that is all good.

But see, @The Q just takes it way too far. He does this all the time calling people who have different opinions “uneducated dolts”.

That is just ignorant.

I don't see this kid ever coming close to that caliber of player. Could be an all star player, but not a top 10 in the league, let alone all time. Could see a Ralph Sampson like career, a guy who was supposed to be the best ever but ended up pretty good and that's it

And that very well may be the case.

You are projecting that he won’t end up being as good as people think. You might be right.

Saying he is a “generational talent” is not a projection of any sort. It is an assessment of upside based on the tools that he has.

I am not saying he will be a great player for sure.

What I am saying is that there has never been a player with his set of tools to play in the league. And if he stays healthy and works hard, he will be special because of his insane talent.

He might not get there.

Talent is a reflection of potential, not anything more. Lots of people waste talent for one reason or another and come up short.

Popovich has never said anything as offensive as "we may play all 3 centers at the same time". I give no shits what he says to the media. Turns out I can disagree with a guy and still respect him as a coach.
Most can.

And it takes away from his other posts where he is rather knowledgeable....

Oubre

3 solid players still available.

Praying we can get Wood for the vet minimum for 1 year.

Wood and Oubre got some pretty significant flaws to their game, though... even if they're a good value, I don't know that I want either on my team.

And?

How does calling someone an uneducated dolt mean that he doesn't want to hear someone's opinion because it's different? Perhaps he doesn't feel the person speaking is as educated as they should be on the subject they're speaking about?

Heck, we see that in here every playoffs when the casuals show up.

Anyone still left is going to have flaws. It's a question of whether or not what they do well are things the team needs. Or, in the case of a young player...can they be developed into something?

Oubre is an actual streaky shooter.

But he’s definitely playable

Wood is a bit of a tweener

I think he fits best on a team like Miami or maybe brook where your c and switch more

For vet minimum and coming off bench....both are bargains.

Oubre is instant offense and those guys are always needed off the bench.

Wood is a solid player also that would have gotten 8-10 mill per if more teams had money available.

I want Wood as a backup C and fillin starter for when AD misses 20-25 games.

Well, yeah... I guess I should have said 'big' flaws.

Oubre just got bad team B-ball senses.
Wood can't defend at all.

Wood could develop his defense under Ham who will get the best out of him. A lot of players aren't good at defense because they don't put in the effort and Wood will be motivated to earn another payday if he signs for 1 year and vet minimum.

Heat culture….

Wood had the tools to be at least a decent help defender
