Surprise visitor and former Florida Gators commit Deontai Williams just committed... As a 4-star out of high school, currently a high 3-star according to most.

I'm tired of the recruiting game, followed it for 17 years now and I am exhausted.

So, tomorrow is the early signing day, we're going to keep updates going in this thread for most of the day. Woodyard I think is waffling between Nebraska and Tennessee and Cameron Brown has indicated that he will likely choose the Buckeyes on Wednesday but the rest seem pretty solid. WR recruiting is going to be a HUGE focus after the dead period.

Its amazing how receiver recruiting has seemed like Nebraska's best recruited position over last few years yet it seems so depleted.

Most of Williams recruits never made it on the roster, Mcquity would have played last year if not for his injury but at least he didn’t waste an entire year of eligibility meddling around with last years train wreck, unlike Lindsey

Not a complete wash though. Of those that did, there is this dude.

Others to watch: Cam Akers, RB, Florida State; J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio State; Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State; Jalen Hurts, QB, Alabama; JD Spielman, WR, Nebraska; Khalil Tate, Arizona.

Still were talking about 3 wr? (Mcquity if he can play, Lindsey and Spielman) I realize most did not make it but man it feels well short compared to, IMO, the best recruited position over last few years.

Interesting he is even mentioned on that list. WR just do not win the Heisman.

For the past 20 years the Heisman 'winners' are QB or RB.
WR's do get invited to NY though, and they've typically won another major award. I'd be happier than a hound dog chasin' a jack rabbit to see Huskers back to winning major awards, or even being finalists for that matter.
Overall athletes have won Heisman's . Spielman is more than just a WR.
Nebraska WR JD Spielman named to USA Today Freshman All-American team

Grim, Fitzpatrick*, KeyJr. Then injuries Alston DPE left the wr room in a bad way, they undersigned by 2-3 every year as well. Frost inherited a severely mismanaged roster, a BP hole we haven’t dug out from yet even 3 years on now. As transition classes go I’ll easily be surprised by just signing a full class so we don’t end up playing the towel boys

Small Primer for tomorrow morning, and some commitment times to keep track of as the morning gets under way. When a LOI gets signed and delivered I will edit the OP ASAP and indicate as such by making the prospect bold... Anyway here's what I've been hearing:

Publicly Committed Prospects
1. Cameron Jurgens (TE) [Beatrice, NE] - Will sign tomorrow at Noon CST
2. Masry Mapieu (DT) [York, NE] - Not signing tomorrow
3. Will Farniok (C) [Sioux Falls, SD] - Will sign tomorrow at 8:00am CST
4. Tate Wildeman (DE) [Parker, CO] - Will sign tomorrow at 2:00pm CST
5. Barret Pickering (K) [Birmingham, AL] - Will sign tomorrow at Noon CST
6. Cameron Brown (WR) [St. Louis, MO] - Likely signing with Ohio State at 12:15pm CST
7. David Alston (OLB) [St. Paul, MN] - Will sign tomorrow at 8:00am CST
8. CJ Smith (S) [West Palm Beach, FL] - Not signing tomorrow
9. Jaron Woodyard (WR) JUCO [Yuma, AZ] - Will sign with either Nebraska or Tennessee at 2:00pm CST
10. Justin McGriff (TE) [Tampa, FL] - Will be signing on Friday... so wait a while for that one
11. Adrian Martinez (QB) [Fresno, CA] - Will sign with tomorrow at 6:00pm CST
12. Deontai Williams (DB) JUCO [Jacksonville, FL] - Likely signing on Thursday

Prospects we are in on:

Will Honas (3-Star JUCO LB) -
I believe he's signing tomorrow but a late offer from Wisconsin could have him hold off. Down to Iowa-Nebraska, not sure on a time... but if he signs tomorrow it will be between Nebraska and Iowa and I'm not sure which way it will go. If I were pressed, I would say if he signs tomorrow it looks like Nebraska but that's just because we were his last visit.

Greg Bell (3-Star JUCO RB) - Bell is down to Nebraska and Boise State even after a recent visit to Tennessee (which should help Nebraska's odds of keeping Woodyard). Bell will announce at 11:45am tomorrow, signs are pointing to NEbraska.

Marcus Riley (3-Star, ATH) - Riley has been quiet since his visit to Nebraska recently. I don't have a time for this one but it will be interesting to watch.

Katerian Legrone (3-Star, TE) - Legron decommitted from UCF while on his official at Nebraska. He signs at 8am EST (i think) tomorrow. Signs point to him being N.

Jeshaun Jones (3-Star, WR) - Nebraska gave it their best shot but crystal balls are flying in for Maryland tonight which doesn't bode well.

Cam'ron Jones is NOT signing tomorrow but Nebraska appears to be his leader for now.

For those wondering, no Nebraska is not in it with Micah Parson's, worst kept secret in the world that he is going to PSU IMO, if not there, Georgia could steal him. Bookie looks headed to OU, Chase Williams is likely headed to USC and Goodrich isn't signing tomorrow but looks like LSU or Georgia. Jeremy Banks is likely going to Tennessee.
