I don't care what the kid says, that don't make no sense, if we were full at DT with Masry then we shouldn't have recruited him "Avery" at all, are we trying to say that the Taint Wilderman kid put us over the #'s at DL? Even though we're still hot after DE's, for several classes straight now

Avery thinks he's playing DE in the 3-4. He doesn't have the body type for that. He'd be ok at NT but apparently doesn't want to play there. He will likely end up as a DT on a 4-3 defense. He's a good player but just doesn't really fit with the new system. I don't think it is coincidental that he has started talking about us backing off after the spring game when Diaco saw him in person.

Yeah, that's what it sounds like unfortunately. He's raw but physically gifted. He is kind of one of those guys that everybody locally whines about if we don't take but when we take him whine about how he's not that good.
