Think the draw comes out tonight.
So in the final tuneup in Auckland, We had Sock, Querrey, & Isner as 3 of the top 4 seeds in that tournament.
They all went down in their first match
They'll do better in the AO.
Not so sure. Maybe Sock. The real young guys (Tiafoe, Fritz, etc..) might do better.
Querrey never plays well here. His best tournaments recently been Wimbledon and US Open
Aussie Open draw takeaways: Roger Federer, Venus Williams have it tough
TEN MUST-SEE ROUND 1 MATCHES
Venus Williams v Belinda Bencic
Destanee Aiava v Simona Halep
Sam Stosur v Monica Puig
Agnieska Radwanska v Kristyna Pliskova
Shuai Zhang v Sloane Stephens
Matthew Ebden v John Isner
Nick Kyrgios v Rogerio Dutra Silva
Alex De Minaur v Tomas Berdych
Novak Djokovic v Donald Young
David Ferrer v Andrey Rublev
Halep and Ferrer are in trouble. Stosur is on her way out and Puig is on her way up. That would not be an upset.
Radwanska vs. the lesser known Pliskova. I guess it's a good chance to see how her game is compared to her sister.
I liked how Donald Young played last year. Hopefully he brings it against Djokovic.
Stosur needs to ask Venus what her victorious secret is. And then use it to stall decay.
There's always this year.
Both Williams sisters took a lot of time away over the years. They did not get ground down like most of the players on the tour.
Like Novak vs Monfils 2nd round match
Not at the Australian Open, Novak's best surface. The USO or FO have been better for Monfils, so they would probably be a better match there.
Still, you never know with Monfils. There's always this year that he can create some excitement with a big win at a major.
This guy is such a tool
Sloane down a break in the final set
And she's gone. Also on a 8 match losing streak now
What an embarrassing day for american women.
Venus and Sloane both gone. Coco a game away from being eliminated
American Women are 0-6
And Isner about to go down 2 sets to 1 lol
