Here we go...

Would LOVE Rocker, but there has been too much smoke on Hjelle. He will also likely be an under slot guy, so that would open us to more reaches later on.

Tigers going with Parker Meadows. Wide-open field for the Giants

Rocker, Hjelle, Cole Wilcox, Jon Gray Jr.....

They'll probably take someone random

1.6 slot. Probably get him for 1.1? 1.2?

The Giants brass has been very high on him and he should open $$ for later rounds.

Yeah, just some bigger arms out there I liked more. Though signability is always a factor, can't blow these picks and Hjelle is really safe to sign and be a big-leaguer

Sean Hjelle is a 6'11" right-handed starting pitcher. Would tie the tallest pitcher of all-time if he makes the majors. Not overpowering, but his length creates an advantage on the mound

Wow.

Just guessing, but there aren't any teams left that can match his bonus demands. The Giants and White Sox were probably his last hope. Going to college I guess

Also, fwiw, the draft experts and live scouts seem to really love this pick by the Giants.

I liked this pick when the Giants were connected to him before the draft, and the only reason I'm a little salty right is is because some of the power arms still around. So that shouldn't really change my opinion much.

Both day-1 picks probably leaned on the 'safer' side than 'upside' but that's okay because last year the Giants went all upside and the Giants are going to be active in the international market. Also there are 38 more picks to go in the draft.

And the Giants have a decent track record on rounds 3-10.

Pure speculation here, but I think Bart reaches the SAL league at some point this year. The GreenJackets are pretty close to his childhood home
