Whatever happened to JR is only here 3 years before turning the GM job over to a young protégée plan???? I know the 2 Stanley Cup wins altered that some but a 3 year extension. did Mario and company not learn from what JR did to/in Carolina???
Well they should just look out on the ice and see his handiwork at play...

yup! And, why do they have to play like crap every Fall before turning it around in the Winter. Although, I don't think they can pull off the usual turn around this season!!!

It was excusable before because of the cup runs and no downtime in the summer...but I think they are old (second oldest in the league) and just not a full team.

Agree. The extra time off seems to have made them even worse this fall. Resigning Cullen was gonna make their average age a lot older by itself.

JR made some good moves the cup years. Last year and this year, not at all. And, it shows on the ice. Pretty much what happened in Carolina, except they got 1 cup and we got 2. I don't think Sullivan is the issue. The players he's been given last year and this are though and that falls on the GM. Is there no youth ready for the NHL in WBS this year??? This is where trading away your top draft picks starts to hurt.

Sadly there isn’t anything to replace them with. Brassard can’t be traded since his value is at an all time low and Sprong should have been dealt before he made the roster this season.

Simon and Cullen are cheap roster filler and have value at certain times.

Great to see Crosby back it did wonders for this team.
Also Riikola back in was good to see, he has speed that is lacking from others on the blueline.

Well figured that would happen due to him playing so poorly.

Looks like Sid injected some much needed energy and passion into this team...how long will it last????

I have little faith. None the less, great game last night.

Better get Guentzel a contract done, now...

That we will never know because they were the only team to put a claim on him since the Penguins could automatically reassign him to WBS. Honestly my only thought is they need the roster filler and he is familiar with they system already?
