Fuck yea JDP.

Fed on the 3rd set on his serve twice in that tiebreak. Must capitalize on those opportunities

This feels a lot like the 2009 final. Fed was the better player for the first four sets, but crumbled in the big moments and wound up tied 2-2. I'm sure Fed feels like he has been the better player so far (he has), but he's down 2-1. Hopefully, he can keep his cool.

Fed completely flustered. The ultimate 'pick your moment player' getting beaten by a guy who's content to pick his moment with a lot of confidence. I hope JDP wins the whole thing. If it weren't for injuries he would have had more than 1 major by this point.

For sure. I would say between 3-5 had he stayed healthy

I don't know if that's true. JDP's not feeling well, not moving that much, but hitting sick winners when he needs to. He didn't come out here to beat fed. He has a gameplan to conserve as much energy as possible to win the whole thing. JDP's top game is off the charts and stacks up with anybody's and he's got it working right now.

This guy deserves it. If he gets rested and his legs are fresh then Nadal is going to have some serious problems.

Should be fine. Almost certain they will be the 2nd match on Friday.

But man that Fed miss at 30 all in the final game of the match was so uncharacteristic of Fed

Tough loss for Fed. DelPo took too many points where Roger was at the net. Part of that is the fact that Fed was volleying poorly. Most of that is the fact that DelPo was blasting balls off both wings. As a Fed fan, I hope DelPo can win this thing, both to help Fed reach #1 and because he deserves it. When DelPo plays like this, there aren't many better. This was the form he had when he whooped Nadal 2, 2, and 1 or whatever it was in 2009.

Yeah. He was flustered. It really did seem like he was thinking too much out there.

Outside of a final set tiebreaker like they have here at the US Open, is there a more important tiebreaker than the 3rd set tiebreaker after the players split the opening 2 sets?
Nope

Let's just watch Nadal steamroll over this half dead horse shall we?

great season for Roger. I think he can blame Murray for this. If he had pulled out of the tournament sooner, Roger would have been the 2 seed and in the bottom half of the draw, which would have been a cakewalk for him.

Just another reason for me to hate Murray ;)

Not necessarily. I think the draw did mess up his head a bit. But he could have pulled DelPo on the other half as well. The five setters also did a number on him.

My spidey senses were tingling all day yesterday.

I could smell it coming.

Well done to the Yankee women though. Go Venus.
