The PAC is where the best QB's are. I thought this was common sense.
This ^^

The PAC has atm ... in no particular order:

Darnold - USC
Browning - Washington
Falk - Washington St.
Rosen - UCLA
Herbert - Oregon

Here are the “consensus” top 25 teams in college football heading into the season.
With college football teams set to report to fall camp in a couple of weeks, many outlets are updating/releasing their preseason top 25 polls.

Here’s a “consensus” one.

Stassen.com has compiled the rankings from a number of different outlets and put together a “consensus” preseason top 25 poll.

The 'Consensus' College Football Preseason Top 25

1. Alabama
2. Ohio St.
3. Florida St.
4. Washington
5. USC
6. Penn St.
7. Oklahoma
8. Clemson
9. Wisonsin
10. Auburn
11. Michigan
12. LSU
13. Oklahoma St.
14. Stanford
15. Florida
16. Louisville
17. Georgia
18. Miami (Florida)
19. Texas
20. TCU
21. Virginia Tech
22. Tennessee

25. Notre Dame
Some of the polls quoted are seriously questionable. Not to mention the lack of any major pre-season poll from the major sites (ESPN, CBS, FOX Sports, Sportingnews, SI, and so on).

Uh, the SEC has 6 on the list. The Big 12 and ACC also have 4.

In terms of % of starting quarterbacks, the SEC edges out the Big 12 (42% vs 40%). The ACC returns a Heisman Trophy winner and the Big 12 returns a finalist.

I am not going to argue one conference over the other, but to say the Pac 12 has significantly better quarterbacks than everyone else is laughable.

I've been responding to an inferior collection of bullshit polls.

Wait
Let me go check the Daily Oklahoman and see what they say.

As as far as the Heisman talk goes .... It's nothing but a fucking beauty pageant and last year was proof. Deshaun Watson was, by far, the best out there. He should have won it, hands down.

Now as far as the preseason rankings go .... I love the underdog role @ 8th. Nothing but motivation for our guys, who are once again being overlooked. It's all good though. We got this!

For most teams, being ranked in the top 10 isn't considered being an underdog, especially when you lost your starting QB to the NFL.

I hear ya, but that is sort of my point. Where was Bama ranked coming into last year with a new QB and other skill positions?

Alabama has proven that a new QB ain't no big thang for them.
Clemson, not so much.
