Well I wonder with the weaker class next year how many first year folks from 2015, some writers will justify in their own minds can wait until next year?

Yeah the 10 player vote limit is pointless. Also I already heard voters actually state this that they just look at the names in ABC order and the first ten they agree with get their votes. So anyone with names that start later in the alphabet get screwed.

Griffey is a no brainer. He was destroyed by injuries his whole career and STILL put up amazing numbers.

Hoffman is abut as close to a sure-thing as possible, without actually being a sure-thing. The Closer-stank is strong with this one. I think he would be on my ballot, but it is still early.

No other real, legit options in this class. No one else really deserves any real discussion, IMHO.

I think Jim Edmonds deserves a look. He got a little bit of a late start in the majors and had some injuries but he had some really good years and played a great defensive centerfield.

Seriously, if any of the voters use that strategy, they qualify, IMHO, to be expelled from the voting process.

If you don't have time to even read the entire list, you don't have time to vote. Simple as that.

He was a good player, granted. But, IMHO, he would be an arguable induction to the Hall of Very Good. The Hall of Fame he is not.

Yea. MAYBE Raines and/or Bagwell, if there is a decent campaign run in this coming year. I don't see any of the other players gaining enough support in the coming year to gain the required votes.

Raines improved in the voting substantially this year. I think he has 2 years left to get in. I think it will come down to the wire...

I hate to say it, but if Smoltz is in, Schilling should be in.

I have Mussina ranked below both Bags and Schilling, but I am open to being convinced. I have 3 open spots on my ballot, after all.

i think all deserve it, i was a no for Bagwell, until i looked at his stats... they were damn good... Plus he played for only one team, which is a statistic not to be overlooked...

Agreed. Was easily one of the best players in MLB in his peak (95-05) IMO.

I see Edmonds like Raines and Rice. Someone that stays on the ballot for fifteen years and may or may not make it.
