First off, LM wants all six kept. So in addition to Sano, Abreu, Cole, and Springer, I had to keep Cain and Hamels.

But I am trading Cain and Hamels after the draft. Who should I trade for? Cain for OF, Hamels for another OF or SP?

Brees. Nobody can answer a blanket question like that.

Cain and Hamels are top 20 at their respective positions. Deal accordingly.

I didn't want to keep 6. So Nos is going to have a say in this draft.

The plan is to stack OF early because of five OF spots with an ace in between, then get 3b and MI. I'm planning a major reach for Story at round 14 or 15 to plug in 2b or CI. And probably will take Reyes right after that because he will be stashed otherwise. Idk, depends what's there at SS.

Nos I'm planning to leave the drafting to but maybe we might take turns.

1b-Abreu
2b-Rendon
3b-Frazier
SS-Desmond
MI-Cris Carter
CI-Castro
OF-Springer
OF-Cain

OF-Granderson
OF-Reddick
OF-Fowler
U-Sano

Bench-Hernandez, Lind, Montero, Beltran, Crawford

P-Perkins
P-Severino
P-Gio
SP-Cole
SP-Hamels

SP-Zimmermann
SP-Quintana
RP-Melancon
RP-Britton
Bench-Darvish, E Santana

I picked with the first pick after keepers(first overall)which was 7th as he was a tad late and took Frazier over Upton(in terms of power), Blackmon. The eighth pick, which he started picking, and ninth both went to closers Melancon and Britton. There was Sonny Gray sitting there too.

I'm curious what people think here because I'm worried he screwed this draft up. I have no young hitters drafted, no young pitchers drafted other than Severino. That's not something I like.

When you're only keeping six, youth is not that important. And when your keepers are essentially your first six picks, instead of the round in which they were previously drafted, they are even less important.

Now that's a way to start the season. Mark Melancon coughing up a run. And what was he even doing out there in a non-save situation?
