Oh gotcha. Ive only been in one league with some of you so Im excited about learning about that part of your games as well.

Most the leagues I have been in, have had limited amounts of trading. so the way some in these leagues trade I wasn't use to.

And Owen Daniels may not be better than Thomas was in Denver, but part of this is figuring out which departed player was talent and which was system. There are a limited number of good TEs, so why not take a late round chance on it being partially the system.

I think the system is being changed to a more running offense. They added Spiller to back up Ingram, added OL that should help the running game. Not to mention all the WRs were on the trading block, that what they told the Seahawks when a trade idea came up. That's when the Seahawks asked if that included Jimmy Graham. That was one reason for me, not go that route.

Most leagues I've been don't have trades often. I think having someone like Chef, who is a trade master is the main reason for so many deals. Going to miss him, now that he's in the A league.

chip in my 2 cents on Josh Hill - dude was vulturing Graham's TDs already, so while he may not have the recs and yds, no reason to think he won't be sniffing double digit TDs this year, imo.

I would take Hill over the guys mentioned earlier (Davis, Maxx, Heath) but definitely not ahead of guys like Kelce, JT80, etc

RE: TE differences

The A league only drafted 15 TE which means that only 3 owners went with a backup TE. (That's up 1 from 2014 when only 14 TE were drafted.)
The B league drafted 19 TE which means that 7 owners went with a backup. (That's up 3 from 2014 when only 4 owners drafted a backup.)

My view going into the draft, was that if I got a decent TE, there was no need to back him up. For me it was a "numbers" thing. Of the top-rated TE that scored over 100 fantasy points, those 9 TE averaged 129.3 points. Of the next FOUR TE (ranked 10-13) only averaged 86 points. A 43-point difference.

I fall into the camp that thinks it good to try for a full roster every week. My first go a round with this so next year I may feel different.

Depending upon how "this year's strategy" goes, it may get tweaked for 2016....

I took Owen Daniels as Paytons replacement for Orange Julius. Then took Larry Donnell as a back up. But what gets me is nobody in B league looked to see who was replacing Graham in NO.

I thought about him but couldn't risk it in a suicide league. In a standard league I will take him
