Day to Day
It's only January 1st but the radioheads were talking about what the Patriots should do in the 2015 draft. Offensive line was a big topic as was running back. I went to find what the Patriots presently have for picks in 2015. 2 in the 4th no 5th and 2 in the 7th. Considering where the Patriots may actually end up, it looks like Bill will be trading down.
These are the 2015 NFL Draft Picks currently owned by the New England Patriots:
1st Round (Assigned)
2nd Round (Assigned)
3rd Round (Assigned)
4th Round (Assigned)
4th Round (Via TB – Logan Mankins)
6th Round (Via TB – Jonathan Casillas)
7th Round (Via TEN – Akeem Ayers)
7th Round (Via HOU) Ryan Mallett
No question in my mind that the offensive line has to be improved. Solder just can't block the speed rushers and leaves Brady alarmingly open to blind side hits. Connelly and Wendell are getting older and we know that Devey, Kline and Cannon just can't play against decent defensive linemen.
Here's hoping that the $24M Brady opened up will be used to resign Revis and McCourty.
