The NFL is set to release the 2014 Season Schedule on April 17th.

Who do you want as our season opener?

Note: Seattle is not an option as they won the Super Bowl and get their first game at home.

One consideration for opening opponent is you want to start the year with a win but you also want to take advantage if the offseason to prepare, so a gimme is a bit of a waste. Denver will be motivated and may face Seattle first, but it would be good to have the offseason to prepare for them. Oakland, not so much.

This ^ was why I selected San Diego. I was tempted to start on the road, because then the last game of the year couldn't be them, but then I saw that Weeks 2 and 3 are likely on the road due to the baseball team.

I'm going to say they go 10-6. Losses to Den(away), SF, SD(away), Seattle, Oak(away)and Pitt(away, though I think that is 50/50). Is this too generous or could they even go 11-5?
