I think this is going to be a great year for the B1G. Traditional powerhouses are strong and some of the non-traditional teams are rising.

I usually don't think about college basketball until CFB bowl season. But i'm more excited about it this season than previous seasons.

What are your expectations for your Hawkeyes this year?

I think a better overall team. From some of the rumors I have heard throughout the offseason, Roy Devyn Marble's ego split the team last season around halfway through the season. Really messed up Aaron White's focus.

If that is true, I expect Aaron White to be like he was 2 seasons ago. Iowa also has great talent coming back. Olaseni should be really good as the big guy. I am hoping for Uthoff to really shine. I'm am really hoping Woodbury has developed and is a lot better 7' player. Gesell can be great 3-point shooter.

The B1G will be deep this year, but it won't be very top heavy. I only see one top 16 team this year, but luckily it is us. We're fucking stacked, and should be the best team in America. Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Illinois should all be tourney teams, but it's tough to see any of them making the Final Four.

must say, it hurt giving you a TU, but I think you're right...(Duke, Zona, Kansas, UK, etc might want to argue - but not Sparty.)
Wisky (FINALLY!) has something that the rest of the country might agree deserves attention as a contender.

You're all fucking toast this season. And that's not based on Michigan pile-driving their Italian competition over the summer or the Glenfiddich that has flowed freely this evening.

1. Walton 6'0" (So) ... Albrecht (deep tourney run experience at the point)

2. LeVert 6'7" (Jr) ... Dawkins ... Abdur-Rahkman ... Hatch (defense, handles, athleticism and shooting led by a future (2015) 1st round pick)

3. Irvin 6'6" (So) ... Chatman ... Dawkins ... (Irvin is a pure shooter from downtown, much like Stauskas, though he plays better D and added some muscle)

4. Chatman 6'7" (Fr) ... Wilson ... Donnal (Chatman is another young phenom that Beilein landed -- take note, this kid's shot is silky smooth)

5. Donnal 6'9" (RS Fr) ... Doyle ... Wilson (Three young bucks here all able to shot block and grab boards...probably won't need to do much else considering our wing but Donnal does have a nice shot. Doyle's a big body, nearing 6'10" 250 and Wilson, 6'9" is long -- it should be a good rotation)

This may be Michigan's best/deepest group of wing players yet. Be prepared to be scored upon. :suds:

There's a lot to look forward to from my Longhorns. Probably the best team that nobody is talking about. We return EVERY single player - and add blue chip Miles Turner.

I am hopeful that the Gophers stay healthy enough to contend this year. We have an experienced group of starters, but not a ton of depth. Mathieau and Hollins will be solid on the wing, Walker and Elliason holding down the middle. I actually think we could see the greatest improvement from Joey King at the forward position and he supposedly had a great off-season when it comes to strength/conditioning. We need a guy like Josh Martin or Daquain McNeil to step it up for the team and provide some additional quality minutes.

I think you guys end up with a better record than last year, simply because I think you should have won 3-4 more games than you did last year. It's a big year for Fran McCaffery. He needs to show that he can turn talent into success.

I think Daquan has more potential to improve than Joey. He is already a great defensive player and I heard that his off season was among the most impressive with the way he's been working out and improving.

Morris and Martin should both make immediate impacts. Big Mo needs to be far more consistent but he can be an offensive weapon and Elliot started to be really reliable as last year went on to boast the D.

King was already a pretty effective player last season as he improved against better competition after he transferred in from Drake. But if he gets a little stronger and more explosive it will benefit his game offensively and defensively.

And we definitely need either McNeil or even Shell to step it up this year to balance out the G rotation.

Iowa at 7th in probably about right. I was surprised to see OSU at 2 and Michigan at 5th. Id probably flip flop those 2 teams and flip flop Nebraska and MSU. Then the top 7 would be just about right. Either way I think teams 2-7 are all pretty equal in potential. They all are probably anywhere from 10th to 25th in the country depending on who you ask.
