Nadal def. Ferrer 63 62.
Nadal requires just ONE more win to secure the year-ending #1.
Nadal finished #1 in 2008 and 2010.
Claiming it in 2013 will make Nadal the first player ever to finish #1 in 3 completely separate years (as in, none of the years are back-to-back).

Djoker beat Fed in 3 sets

FED played poorly any time he was up a break, or up in the tiebreaker.

Djokovic did have one bad game where he lost set.

First two sets went back and forth.

Wish I'd seen the Nadal-Wawrinka match the next day. First close match between that that I remember.

Yeah Nadal beat Wawrinka 76 76, and Wawrinka was 6-5 up in the 2nd set tie-breaker. I think its only a matter of time before Wawrinka beats a gun in a big match. Wawrinka was oh so close to beating Djokovic at the AO this year, when a bad line call cost him the chance to serve for the match (not that there is any guarantee he would have served out the match).

Nadal got the easy stooges, hammered them down for his two wins and an easy SF pass, while the other group is loaded. Fed needs to beat del po and even then he is not guaranteed to make SF if del po bests Djoker.

Wawrinka is finally breaking out of his shell and playing free spirited tennis. He always had the game and the potential to slay big guns.

Its true, Wawrinka is a ferocious hitter. Great stamina too.

Wawrinka reminds me of Verdasco in his prime he could go toe to toe with Nadal. He has virtually fallen off the map now.

Yep that 2009 AO Nadasco semi was shockingly brilliant tennis.

I enjoyed the Finals. They didn't play a long match like they have most of the past few years, but I like watching them trade blows, and try to execute their strategies, to win.

Like Nadal always serving to the opponent's backhand, or Djokovic's crosscourt forehand.
