I'm sure there are some guys left who are going to be huge contributors to some successful team. The trick at this point is lucking into them. From here on it's pretty much a crapshoot.

All I know about him is he was 39th on Mayock's board, which means nothing. So again, I'll "trust" the braintrust of the Bengals (scarier all the time!)

I didn't catch any SMU games either..

but those combine numbers are sick. Cossell (my favorite analyst by far) was really bullish on him..

and since Zimmer got here the Bengals have been killing every DL pick

Ansah is 1000X the player Hunt will ever be. I wouldn't be surprised if Ansah had 15 sacks next year.

Zimmer also like Roy Williams, Taylor Mays and Chris Crocker for this defense. I'm not impressed with his safety drafting skills.

Should be easy for Ansah to collect 15 sacks..... The competition goes way down when you leave the Mountain West for the NFL.

Swipe or Franklin would be nice, everything is icing IMO

I'm really suprised Franklin is still on the board. not sure the Bengals pick him after already going RB early, but someone is getting a steal

Hunt was from CUSA. He'll also be seeing a huge drop in competion, eh?

I'd be shocked. Didn't he only have 5 career sacks for BYU? And you expect him to dominate NFL competition next year? How does that work?

He also played LB and DT this year. He didn't start many games at DE. Plus in Detroit they run that Wide 9 which fits him perfectly and he has Suh on the inside taking all the double teams. The Packers and Bears offensive lines stink. I could easily see him getting 15 sacks.

Definatley think that's why he was their pick...

with his speed and athletic ability he could be special in that scheme. he just needs to beat people off the edge while he refines the rest of his game..

i'm not sure he's a 15 sack guy as a rookie, but it's possible in a yr or two..

he could also bust. definately a gamble pick, but it makes sense for the Lions

I like Williams attitude. The Bengals can definitely use an infusion of nasty.

Franklin is going to be that guy who goes in round 5 and then leads all rookies in total yards.

I would still take Franklin in a heartbeat. This late, he can play ST, be great insurance in case Bernard gets hurt and When BJGE leaves in a couple years we would have 2 stud RBS.

217 yds rushing against Nebraska, 171 rushing yards against USC, 194 rushing yards against Stanford in the PAC 12 championship game...

unless he has some unreported degenerative knee condition, or a failed drug test, it doesnt make much sense to me that he's still on the board

yup. I have no issue loading up on a position (espcially one of need). I'd seriously consider Franklin and Lattimore. Would love to see Greene in stripes though. A Lber that can actually cover..steal at this point.

The way the NFL is trending, two RBs in the first 4 rds is a bit excessive imo. particulalry two RBs with such similar skillsets..

Franklin's good enough that I wouldn't mind it too much

If we got Franklin or Lattimore and Greene I'd probably pee myself with joy.

You load up on talent and Franklin is talented. I don't care if we drafted his identical twin brother earlier I'd still draft him.

I think there's a balancing act between need and talent when you make the pick..

with Eifert and Gresham* both can be utilized at the same time. plus it gives them leverage when Gresham's contract runs out and they're working on a new deal

the 35th pick and a 4th rder in the same draft for a spot with a limited number of touches is a different story. I like Franklin enough that I wouldn't mind the pick, but I'd suprised if he's the pick (and also really suprised if he makes it there)

*I know his talent level can be debated, but just for comparison-sake
