Up 5 with 27 seconds left all they had to do was play some defense and hit their free throws. The trophy was literally brought out. The ropes were literally being set up for the championship celebration...and Ray Allen rips it from their clutch. Took what was rightfully theirs and took home the title for the big 3.
I was a part of the joy and jubilation for the Heat, but now I know how the Spurs must have felt. To be that close and to have your hearts ripped out like that.
But you know what?
The Spurs came back the following year more motivated than ever. They had only one thing on their mind. Redemption. And they used that to catapult themselves back in the finals and the 2nd time around they took care of business and took back what was rightfully theirs.
2015 Seahawks will be a team of redemption. The talent is there, but the motivation is back. We won't see a lazy start to the year. This team will be focused from OTAs all the way to the playoffs. I know it all hurts right now fellas, but we'll be back.
