No one is going to remember that though.:suds:

60 points at age 37 is a hell of an accomplishment.

I feel it's more like the Tampa Bay Buccanneers losing to the Saints in order to get Jameis Winston, but without Kobe playing well, the Jazz couldn't secure the better draft pick. Maybe the Jazz were paid off after showing they were better through three quarters. No 1 prick, here we come? ;)

Can't give the Lakers any credit for coming back in those games huh? The envy continues to pour out of you.

Wouldn't think too much about it. Hurricane probably wasn't even born before 2000 to know about that game.

Not sure if you were talking about me or Hurricane, but I gave credit to Kobe and put a :) there to show I wasn't being serious (though I don't think the Jazz were going all out to win).

Honestly, I think they were going all out to win for most of the game. They did build a 15 point lead after all. However, in the 4th quarter, I think that when Kobe started going off and the crowd started going nuts, they got caught up in it a little too. After all, they are human, they are a young team and most of their players likely grew up idolizing Kobe.

To find themselves playing against him in his last game and have him doing some of the things they watched him do when they were kids, had to have been surreal. Can't say I blame them for getting caught up in it.

Utah was out of playoffs...we are talking about Portland going to the Finals and most likely winning the title that year...............:bawling:
