Do you not agree he would turn any team in the NBA into a playoffs contending team. It's either yes or no.

My post was in no way shape or form me comparing hin to LeBron himself. Read better.

Playoff contending?

Yes provided teams are full health. For sure.

Lebron has never won anything without way more help than what Joker has. <--

Yes Lebron got some pretty bad teams to the finals in Cleveland. But he was doing that every year in a joke conference. Had Cleveland played in the west all those years, a ton of those Cleveland teams would have been lucky to get out of the 1st round.

Its so weird how unbalanced the two conferences have been for such a long time. And this year it looks just as pronounced as ever. Boston is the only team in the east this year that would have made it out of the western conference 1st round.

Well that's incorrect. The Cavs won the East in '07. Here were some of his teammates.

Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejao, Eric Snow, Sasha Pavlovic, Donyell Marshall, Daniel Gibson.

That team probably doesn't make the playoffs without LeBron, let alone get all the way to the Finals.

Gobert being given defensive player of the year is the worst f up in this history of awards.
Not even close dude

Here's a good list to start (but it's from way back in 2010, only covers 1985-2010)

Not included: Rafael Palmeiro 1999 Gold Glove (he was a DH)

Gobert didn't deserve this one but there have been worse awards

Edit: the Bleacher Report link for some reason no working when I try to include it

I agree, that list is terrible. Blank, even.

Playoff contending?

Or championship contending?

There is a big difference there.

But yes, add Jokic without removing anyone else and he takes probably anyone to a 10 seed ish.

But honestly I think you add any superstar to a bottom team and he makes them a “playoff contender”.

Just not a championship contender.

LeBron made nobodies championship contenders.

And honestly, aside from Denver?

Nobody in the West is better than the top East teams LeBron beat during his 8 Finals run. Wolves and Thunder are young and inexperienced. Everyone has had pretty legit flaws.

This.

What the hell has Minny done to say they're better than a lot of those teams? Their calling card is melting down in the playoffs. OKC has a very bright future but very young. The 15 to 17 Cavs would've had no issue with them.

And we have all seen what Dallas has done historically.

This is a growing year for all 3 of those teams...good or bad.

Of all the Western teams, the Wolves were the team I most feared in the playoffs. Last year, imo, they gave the Nuggets their toughest series of anyone. In the future I see the Thunder as the team in the West as they mature, having all their starters under 25 y.o.

Give it a year or 2 and OKC and Minny could be elite level.

But they aren’t there now.

Milwaukee and Philly would have been very different if they were totally healthy also.

I very much think OKC will.

Minny can fuck this up.

They gotta respond here.
