2 Maryland players charged for BB gun shootings

"Maryland football players Lorenzo Harrison and DJ Turner were arrested on Wednesday and charged with three counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident that involved BB guns earlier this month.

Both players had been previously suspended by the athletic department before a Week 11 loss to Ohio State.

"We are aware of the situation and take these matters very seriously," the university said in a statement. "The two student-athletes involved have been suspended indefinitely for violating the student-athlete code of conduct. This matter has also been referred to the Office of Student Conduct for further review."

Freshman linebacker Antoine Brooks, who was also suspended after the incident, has not been charged and was reinstated"

I'd like to give 'em credit. But, evidence is becoming more and more overwhelming that many of these guys don't think at all. In fact, it really looks like many are not fully equipped for thinking!

We all did dumb shit when we were young. But most of us weren't throwing possible careers out the window when we did it. Some of these guys are potential candidates for future Darwin awards IMO.
