I was at the game and can honestly say it was an ugly game for both teams. The 2 Anaheim goals before end of regulation were all off screens where our D was being way too passive. The goal in OT you could see coming a mile away, Anderson somehow couldn't stop the pass when he had position and Lashoff was doing who knows what. Lashoff made a couple of mistakes last game and definately a couple this game. Hopefully Cola replaces him next game.

Selanne gave a defenseman a nudge so Lovejoy had room to get the pass to Bonino for the game winner. It was subtle, but firm.:

Eaves is scratch due to Abby coming back into lineup - I thought he had a strong last couple of games, but who to replace?

I though Eaves has been increadible. Showed up everywhere but in scoring. IMO you have to sit Sammy even though he got a goal...he was just in the right spot at the right time.

i've really questioned some of babcock's moves this year and this is one of them. no way eaves should be scratched over cleary. even samulesson hasn't been that great, but since he scored a goal in the last game, he somehow gets a pass.

I thought Cleary had his best game in game 5...he was pretty tough on the puck during the cycle but defensely leaves quite a bit to desire defensively.

I appreciate all he has done for us in the past but will be glad when we cut ties this offseason

It will never happen but filppula needs to be benched. Inexcusable mistake on the 2nd goal and he has been playing like shit this entire series and all season long.

I would also love to see smith and Quincy benched but there's nobody better to put in there except maybe white

Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Howard were the obvious heroes of the game for Detroit - but let's not forget the unsung hero, Justin A-holesmasher. He had himself a hell of a game. Always in there mucking it up and creating much needed havoc in front of Hiller.

We really missed Abdelkader.
