1st Game of Preseason vs Padres

Cannot wait. It's a charity game, but I love how we're getting to a glimpse of the future with the linuep.

I've been watching Peterson play for the past year on MiLB network (great value for that, by the way), so this is going to be great. Montero DH'ing, and we get to see Marte as well!

Got home a bit ago. Just got to the bottom of the 1st with Peterson hitting the ball out of the park. Easy power.

Nice to see Walker throw a couple of curves.

Montero with an error at 1B. Learning experience, I guess. If he keeps hitting like he did today, I'm fine with it.

It seems the Seahawk fever that Seattle had kept going straight to the Mariners. Every single place I went today had the game on, that's a first for me.

I think a lot of non-baseball fans in Seattle will be watching the M's this year, hoping they can exorcise that nasty lingering feeling from the Seahawks superbowl loss.

Tough injury for Ji Man Choi, he is a good hitter, would have been nice to see what he can do with a full season at Tacoma. Sounds like he will be out 4-6 months tough break for him in the first game of spring training.

Finally got a chance to watch it and the main thing I took away from the game was Walker's delivery was much more like 2 years ago compared to last year. Two years ago he was free and easy on his delivery like yesterday while last year he looked like he was throwing against his body with a more jerky motion. Not sure why the change, but it was the right move.

Feel bad for Choi. I guess it gives Montero more time at 1st or means Peterson could spend more of his time there then at other spots.

Caught a little of the 2nd game earlier. Didn't get to see Cruz go yard but the kid who hit the 3 run shot late, Kivlehan, crushed that one and his stroke looked good.

Still too early to get too excited about anything, but technically baseball is being played!
