* Sampras' serving was horrible in the first set. Served about 30% on first serves in the 1st set at one point.

Had 3 double faults, all to the ad side.

Most of missed serves hit the net and didn't go over.

With that said, he still broke late and won 6-4.

Agassi didn't serve that great either in the first set.

* They recalled how Edberg dominated the USO in 1991. When he tried to repeat in 1992, they said he was down a break in the 5th 3 different matches. He would defend and win in 1992.

They're drawing analogies to trying to defend your title, because Sampras won the 1994 AO.

Sampas has struggled in this repeat quest. But he's in the Finals.

What a weird 3rd set tiebreaker.

Agasssi gets two on Sampras' serve to go up 3-0.

Sampras then gets 2 on Agassi's serve to come back to within 3-2.

BTW, Sampras was serving < 40% for the 3rd set, so his serving struggles continued.
