Three games to go and this stretch against top competition is over. Since the Angels series last weekend the Rangers have managed to keep their lead at 3.5.

The Angels only have one more series to really gain ground before the Rangers hit the soft stretch till the final series against Anaheim.

I gotta say that I am very pleased with where the team is at this point.

Absolutely. Texas has the stuff to play with any team in the country. They just need to put it together at the right time. This stretch is LA's chance to gain ground. Unless Texas unravels against TB, I see a tall order for LA the last three weeks of the season.

And they know they can play with anybody. I don't see the Rangers unraveling against anyone. They tend to play the better teams very well.

The Mariners gave this game away when they sent this Vasquez kid to the mound. This guy is horrid. Not sure what they see in him. He's been pretty average in the minors.

they scored 2 runs more than their average and our offense laid down. the rangers relaxed after that series in Boston. we will be only 2.5 games ahead after tonite

Seattle's starting pitcher tonight is one of the worst in baseball. Let's just hope the Rangers get a shot or two against him. The Giants would light him up.

Well the lead was a bit bigger then. At least my hand isn't hovering above the panic button like it was a few weeks ago. Never quite pressed it, but I was close.

I think we can all see the light at the end of the tunnel here for this stretch of games.
