Looking like Hexy is about to become GM

yep, looks like Hexy to GM, Holmgren to President.

Seemed like it was written in the sand from a few weeks ago. Glad it's not a 'fire Homer' type thing, I think he's done a good job. They just want to keep Hexy in the fold and they only way to do that is to give him the GM title.

This is the right move - this is a way to keep Hexy in the fold and let Homer continue to stick around - Homer has had a few bad moves but he's also made some real good moves

I'm cool with this just as long as Homer will be there to assist Hexy....i think that they'd be better for it. strong team!

yep, i am excited as well. everything i'm reading says patience with young players and draft picks. exactly what i want the flyers to do.

If nothing else, no other team will mess with those guys off of the ice...

Love the move. Holmgren was never bringing the Cup to Philly. Not saying Hextall definitely will, but it was time for a change.

This is a great move and really sets up some excellent momentum with guys who are on the same page in the FO who are looking for talent and draft picks for the flexibility they provide. I love this move.
