No, they're the greatest, don't ya know?
B12 also ran, Mizz, goes there and gets into a couple of CCGs.
Bottom feeder TAMU goes into "SEC DEFENSE" country with a fish qb and fish coach and is the runaway best offense in the SEC for two years running...

... but somehow that speaks to how badass the SEC is.

SEC! SEC! SEC!

Waxed Oklahoma in the bowl game which was the Big 12 champion, a key point you glossed over. I get along with most people on this board due to rational thought process and intelligence. You sir have zero. You just slam your fist on the table, put your fingers in your ears and scream "LALALA I'M RIGHT YOU ARE WRONG LALALA". You are a category 5 IDIOT.

How does that DISPROVE what I wrote? How? You SEC Ejukashun guys need to get some help.

You also forgot to mention that Missouri was in the hunt for a Big12 championship in the years before moving to the SEC, and was actually more like a TCU/Baylor type team for you at the time.

I watched them beat the crap out of my Tigers and was damn impressed, along with Texas at the end of last season who sucked but still was an impressive performance. They returned a lot, ended the season extremely well so I have no problem with them being ranked. Although like I have been saying, the back end of the rankings are pretty irrelevant. Although I guess it is much easier to have that view when people don't constantly use how many ranked teams have you beat on your team on a yearly basis.

They beat a quarterbackless LSU, Texas, and Ole Miss

And yes the rankings are "meaningless" until we have to hear about all the ranked teams so and so beat at the end of the year. So they do have a little importance. LSU gets a top 25 win this weekend for beating Miss St.

I completely agree with you. Especially now that this garbage committee is in charge, no polls should even exist. They are pointless.

Actually, KSU was the Big 12 champ that year, as they played in a BCS bowl. OU was an ass hair away from 5 losses that year, getting whipped by KSU and Notre Dame, then squeaking out wins vs. WVU (50-49), Okie State (51-48 OT), and Baylor (42-34). Let's not pretend the Aggies whipped a juggernaut OU squad.

Fringe top 25 last year? oh my :L

Again, bringing up OSU has no bearing on this year. But calling them a worse OSU team is just plain stupid man. Look at thier record in 2010 or 2009. Why? To show the talent on that roster. And the final 2012 record? 12-0

Fuck off with your lack of knowledge domer, it's embarrassing

Arkansas' average computer ranking was 22.5 and they finished 32nd in the final AP Poll. So you can go fuck off.

And yes, the 2011 Ohio State team was absolutely worse than the 2014 Arkansas team. Don't make me look up the numbers because it will only make you look more foolish. All this defending your doing for Ohio State only strengthens my point that you didn't have an issue with them being ranked when if fact they were WORSE than last year's Arkansas team.

The most important position?

In the past few years almost every national championship has been won by a 1st year QB. AJ McCarron won twice in a row screws up a long streak going back to 2008.

Cardale Jones - 1 game starter
Winston - 1st year starter
AJ McCarron - 2nd year starter
AJ McCarron - 1st year starter
Cam Newton - 1st year starter
Greg McElroy - 1st year starter.
Tim Tebow - multi year starter/player.

Tebow lost it in his next/last year, McElroy lost it in his next/last year. Newton went draft, AJ lost it in his next/last year. Winston lost it in his next/last year.

So, the more experienced QB's actually did worse than the inexperienced QB's.

It's September 8th. Maybe 10-12 teams are legitimately top 25 at this point, the rest, are a guessing game. If I had it my way, there wouldn't even be rankings until at least October.

Yeah, "Co Champions".

Because everyone is a winner in the Big12!

Why? I can't have rankings because of people who are unable to understand the relevance of them in week 1 and that it's not a final ranking of the year?

I much rather make fun of such people then just not have rankings at all.

I don't give a crap about the ratings but I'll admit Arkansas scares the crap out of me. It's a team you do not want to play in Fayetteville period.

Fair enough, but to claim that Texas A&M left with the same team they played in the Big 12 with is a joke. The results speak for them-self on the field. Not saying A&M would have beat Kansas State, but clearly it was a different team in 2012 than 2011.
