Shouldve said depth and goaltending. Goaltending, as we've seen lately with Hart, can win you games you have no business winning.

In the Flyers case Oct-Dec, it can also lose you games you have no business losing.
Goaltending really hurts them this year there was a record number and loads of soft goals. Once the Goaltending improved you saw the different results. Plus they will add some good FA players to bolster this lineup. I'm excited...

First order of business in off season IMO-offer sheet Marner and go after Pietrangelo.

We have the $$$ and enough prospects, and I feel these 2 simple addictions will make them contenders, along with our youngsters that should earn some spots next year.

We only need to fill a couple of holes, we still have Morin, Frost and Farabee to look at to. I would love a solid all round bkue collar guy also who has heart.

Oo man would I love Marner. I don't think there's an offer sheet the Leafs wouldn't match, but why not screw them to the wall on a big deal?

Pietrangelo is an interesting one. I'll be curious to see what the Blues do. Are they believers in their second half as their true talent level? Or do they think they a closer to their first half selves? Or somewhere in between?

Im not sure but I believe the last time an offer sheet was sent out was 6 years ago and the last time one was matched was 11 years ago. This would be a very rare if we extended an offer for Marner. Pietrangelo might be better to wait a season until he is a UFA so we dont have to trade for him although it would be great to have him on our team

A reason to not screw them on having to match is that we would open the door for all other teams to screw us on our kids coming up like Prov and Sanheim

Beats saying Gordon said today that Talbot will probably get 2 or 3 of the remaining 6 games. Morin may get 5 or 6.

Hart goes tomorrow.

Leafs wont let Marner go.
However 1 guy I would give an offer sheet from the Leafs in Kasperi Kapenen

This entire season shows how important goaltending is.

The future is very bright . Tons of young talent. Cap space.
I expect a few moves this offseason. I fully expect Frost to get a long look for the roster next season. Maybe Farabee as well.
This along with a top 6 FA and a D-Man and we could be contenders quickly

The bigger question is are we closer to our first half team of our second half team or somewhere in between.

I think somewhere in between, but closer to the 2nd half team now that Hart is part of the squad. I think they're easily better than Montreal and Carolina.

I'll be pretty disappointed/surprised if they're not relatively comfortably in the top 3 in the division next year given the talent they have and the assets they have available to get better.

Raffl re-signed. $1.6M x 2 years

Takes that question off the table. I'm good with that. Good, cheap contract for a bottom 6 guy that brings good 2-way play and some grit to the table. He's a great 4th liner if they can slot him there.

I like this deal i think Raffl is an under rated player for us.
