I tend to agree with you, but he probably won't even pick up the phone for 3 years. Teams are going to offer him 5, 6, maybe even 7 years. He essentially scored at a 30 goals/yr pace 5 seasons in a row.

Hexy has to do something with most all of the cap space, even if he throws a bunch of money at one or two players for just one or two seasons. We won't commit to anyone beyond that unless they are an elite level talent in or close to their prime. He's not going to get to a point where we can't afford to sign our home grown talent to new contracts.

I don't think this has been brought up yet, but the schedules were released for next season.

We open up in Vegas on October 4th. Our home opener is the 9th against San Jose.

13 back to back scenarios, which is not a lot, but 12 of them are 3 games in 4 nights.

The two longest road trips are of 5 games each in December and January.

We host the Pens at LFF on February 23rd at 8 pm as part of the 2019 Coors Light Stadium Series.

Some are obviously skeptical of the O'Brien pick at #19, but those are the same people that didn't like the Frost pick the year before. Well, he just finished tops in the OHL with 70 assists, a +70 rating and 2nd in points with 112 in only his 3rd season. Hexy is trusting his scouts and I am loving the early results.

We're more than happy to let Farabee and O'Brien grow in college for a couple years before introducing them to pro hockey.
