One thing about Nashville is that I can't believe Rinne can play any better than Crawford just did.

I would play them just like the Hawks. this will be very interesting. uncharted territory for both

I like this matchup. One not seen too often. I really like that there's been some diversity this postseason. Not the same teams matching up again and again (though there's still been plenty of that...)

now that they are over this psychological hump ... I really hope the sense of relief allows them to loosen the grip on their sticks and play the clinical hockey they displayed in the regular season

i know the d tandem the Sedins will see ... what about the line matchup ... who will the preds put on them ... Tootoo Spaling line?

I think it was Botchford that said we might see Hansen up with the Sedins ... Samuelsson (with an ALLEGED sports hernia) has been virtually invisible

Samuelsson needs to be benched every third game to get him motivated.

Tight games, 2-2 season series, Carrie Underwood tie-in. Will certainly be interesting. First Game Friday I would think.

Wonder who the first Preds poster will be here?

if Habs lose tonight ... CBC will ask for a Saturday night series start and since Nashville isnt a marquis US hockey market, the cbc might, for once, get its wish

some NASH numbers from Jeff Pattersons twitter

patersonjeff Jeff Paterson
In a season that was all about rest for #Canucks Luongo (incl bonus rest in Game 6), #Preds Rinne has started 15 straight & 35 of last 36

People knock #Preds style, but last 21W since A/S break have all had 3 or more goals. No 2-1 or 1-0 wins in the bunch

#Canucks scored 2 goals in 2 home games vs #Preds. And Lee Sweatt had one of 'em. Won't be easy or pretty against NAS

I'm excited for this one.. Fish vs Keslurker is going to be a good matchup. I say Trotz will put Tootoo/Spaling/Smithson against the Sedins, confident in that one, got to soften them robots up a bit early in the series.

some similarities to Chi:

Strong goalies - Crawford doesn't have the resume, but he played really fucking great for most of the series (esp last night).
Horses on D - Weber/Suter vs Kieth/Seabrook. ice time hogs.... hit them, hit them, hit them.

some difference:
Special teams: Chi had 4th best PP this year, Nash was 26th. conversely, Hash PK was 5th, Chi was 25th
Horses up front - I don't see a kane / toews / hossa game breaker on that roster. Could that allow Kes a more offensive role?
The S.O.B. factor - I wonder how many penalties he'll take? Roxy Flu could be an issue as well?
Tootoo factor - he seems back on his game. Chi really didn't have someone consistently running around

starting to get pumped!!

Ryan Johnson talked smack about his former team the Canucks ... and his Hawks were eliminated

it would be sweet if it shapes up so the canucks could take out a couple of other smack talking former players who the organization gave every opportunity to succeed: Shane O Brien and then Kyle Wellwood

Going to BUMP all this man. Our team focuses a lot more on team defense then Chicago does so our Forwards know how to play it too. As far as offense we don't have the standout caliber players like Chi town has but we still score. Basically if we hold you guys to 3< we should end up with a W, more then that and Rinne loses confidence and yall should be able to skate away with it

I love all this talk about Tootoo when he was almost invisible this regular season, great to see him back. I kinda want to see him fight somebody tho it's been awhile haha, O'briens been taking over for him there which isn't what I want to see
