i guess that had to be the best deal, not so much the draft capital, but they still got their guy. i'm ok with yet another d-linemen, because you have to take the BPA. The BPA is the big picture, and improving pressure from the interior is the next best thing.
MAYBE these three DE's can move around between the two spots? Occassionally move Thomas or Armstead outside? IF so, makes it harder for offenses to game plan.
If we don't trade up, try to trade one or two 4th round picks into 2018.

The value difference from 3 to 2 is very small they probably got equal value in reality. They only had to make up about 400 points and got 359 points out of this years picks and a pick valued between 112 and 44 in 2018 as I believe picks in the following year are valued at the following round in current draft.

Hey anyone have a list of what picks we had before the draft and the ones we have after this first round (including the places we drafted) and what we have left and highlight any that we still have from the first deal. Thank in advanced... curious and don't have the time to compile myself... again thanks for any info.

Off-hand, we still have Chicago's 3rd round pick this year and next. They traded Chicago's 4th plus their own 2nd to get Foster. They still have 2 4th round picks.

Damn Lynch just backed the truck up and straight robbed the Bears. He turned the #2 pick into Solomon Thomas, Rueben Foster, 67th pick and extra 3rd next year for just moving down 1 spot.
If someone had told me this would be the outcome I would have been calling a psych ward for them.

Never liked saying publicly (2 of top 3 or the like) That I (my team) thought they were better than the most of the rest of the board that was picked before your player/pick as the players agent will use that against the team in the future. I don't have a problem saying you think you picked well but don't inflate the ego of the pick or give ammo to the agent. You only say that for your fan base and ultimately it is counter productive and sometimes it's just BS or often seen as BS so don't do it.
