Why do they keep rating my Canes so high? Have they not seen how trash Malik Rosier is?

While I've never been a big fan of these polls, but they are important for the group of 5 teams. Ranked teams get momentum in everything from recruiting to getting tickets sold. It puts Boise then as the team to beat. Let's face it, college football is a beauty contest, but you have to be on the list to get admitted. It probably isn't fair, since everyone has to win games. But we Boise fans will take the attention, who knows, maybe the "name" teams will knock each other off, and leave the door open for one of the others to sneak in. I'm not holding my breath, we all know that only a dozen or so teams REALLY have a shot. Year after year, those teams fight over who gets into the playoffs while everyone else vies for the consolation prizes. But that long shot keeps us all coming back, I suppose.

I'm not subscribed to the Athletic but here's their post spring top 5. I did listen to Mandell's podcast but the prick wouldn't give the complete Top 25 on it.

The Badgers are bringing in another really good team.........This should be the best offense they have had in a really long time........While they will defense will be really good again, it will not be in the top 10 in YDS allowed like they have been for the last few years....

I cannot believe that USA Today poll has them at #3.........I think they will be 5-10.
They have to play @Michigan - who I think is very underrated this year.......Their defense will be just as strong as last seasons and they will get much better QB play this season.

Badgers also play @ Penn ST..........I think the Badgers win a close one here.

The one thing you might be missing with Michigan is that the offensive line had the stopping power of a revolving door. Any QB is going to have issues if they are getting sacked once out of every ten passing plays. They had 36 sacks and 343 pass attempts last year. It’s why Speight and Peters were knocked out of games.

I like that FSU is not ranked by ESPN. Hate this hype machine. Tell our players we suck.

lol

USC is ranked anywhere from 10-25. Pretty big disparity. I'd put them at about 15. The defense looks good, but they need to replace some guys on offense and have no qb's with any experience.

Hopefully the defense is as good as the coaches think because they are going to have to lean on them heavily until the offense gets some experience.
