I get the refs were bad but Va Tech had a 21 point 2nd half lead and also started missing everything.

Just don't buy the whole crying about the refs when a team had a huge lead in the 2nd half of a game.

Had a 14 point lead with 10+ minutes to go & scored 5 points in nearly a 11 minute span.....yeah not buying that this was the refs fault.

This reminds me of James Harden bitching about the refs earlier this year even though his team had a 26 point 2nd half lead.

Refs can be as bad as they want.

1) You shouldn't lose a 21 point 2nd half lead.

2) You shouldn't score 5 points in a 10+ minute span

Farrell tech was a joke but besides that refs were whistle happy. You can call an illegal pick every possession. Nd got called for 2 in 4 possessions late. Vt choked that away. I don't even feel like nd won it.

Missing 15 of 16 fgs to start the half is inexcusable. Clearly we missed plenty of shots.

Officiating was egregious. Dual possessions, free throws, taking us out of our game defensively - which is why we were in charge of the game to begin with - is on the refs. 22 fouls in the second half against a shooting team is insane. We completely collapsed.

ND shooting 25% in the 1st half, 57% in the second. Im sure our ability to play defense wasn't effected at all.

They had 5 fouls in the first half and 4 in the final 40 seconds when they fouling on purpose.

Lol yea. I think VT got bad end of some calls BUT they had a huge lead that they lost and VT also took some really dumb shots when ND has getting back in the game.

NYC legit got 6-12 inches of snow. If that is just considered a bad weather day up there, then lmao. And no, NC isnt getting hit with snow storms in March. A lot of flights (including mine, but I was stupid enough to be convinced to drive) were cancelled today, and when you put the conference tournament outside of the heart of the conference, that is a problem

Certain areas. I live in brooklyn and most of Brooklyn only got 3-6.

I got bad news for you though. I read that future ACC tournaments may be in cold cities just like NYC. I read rumors of Boston, Pittsburgh/Philly, Indiana, and possibly NYC (MSG). Seems like the ACC is trying to get away from only having conference tournaments in the South.

We didn't have 22 fouls in the 2nd half. We had 21 for the entire game. ND 12. Take away the intentional fouls at the end of the game and we had like 16 fouls for the entire game. 12 vs 16. Not a disparity. We flat out choked that game away because we stopped guarding them once we went up by 20 and didn't bother to run an offense worth a damn. ND never gave up and just kept chipping away until they had full control of the game. We just flat out blew that game. That's on us. TV Teddy is just an easy scape goat

While there were some questionable calls at times, ND came out shooting lights out. I mean, who hits a thrown up bank shot 3 as the shot clock expired? While they were on fire, we went cold with poor shot selection. We lost a game that was winnable and that falls on the team's shoulders with no one else to blame.

Thankfully, we should've already locked up a spot in the NCAAs, which ND was essentially playing for their spot and were in a must win situation.

Couldn't agree more. I'm ok with blaming the refs if it was a close game throughout and they had several questionable calls but not when you're up so much in the 2nd half.

I’m not fully blaming the refs. Clearly they didn’t make us miss 15 shots in a row and go without scoring for 10 minutes

They definitely played a role in this one, which is inexcusable. Ted Valentine I’m incapable of doing his job effectively.
