You chose Kobe over Lebron. The fact is most people wouldnt.

For me, it would depend on the situation. If I'm trying to win a series...I'm taking Lebron. Because his game is more multi-faceted than Kobe's, he can adjust to the needs of his team providing whatever they are lacking in each game. That's the guy I want for a series.

If I have to win 1 game, life on the line, I'm taking Kobe. Kobe is an assassin and would just about kill his own grandma to win the game. That's the guy I want in a 1 game situation.

Talent wise, for me

It's Jordan, then LeBron.

But I've already told all the Cavs fans this before, I think he'll finish 3rd all time on my list, behind KAJ and Jordan.

But ask me to take a guy to start a team, and I pick LeBron over KAJ, but as far as legacy, stats, rings, pretty much everything goes, I take KAJ over LeBron.

Which is why ATG rankings are so skewed and it's all just that person's opinion.

Once again......When the game is on the line, in clutch time, LeBron is statistically better than Kobe.

:pound:

That is some of the funniest shit i've read on these boards so far.

Keep it up, you might end up on SNL

You know what's funny about bullshit stats like this? You can tweak it any way you want. Change it to the final 5 seconds of the game, Kobe comes first, lebron isn't even in the top 10. Change it to buzzer beaters and lebron doesn't even get mentioned.

How about you show the FG% in the final two minutes, while wearing yellow shoes after having had steak and eggs for breakfast?

Now that's funny

All kidding aside you need to look at Russells high school, college and pro careers. At every level, and every stage in his development he won it all, and did so each and every year. He knew how to put banners up in the rafters.

You cant have a real conversation with this SJ kid. If Lebron had 15 rings and was 100% in clutch and made 15 all-defensive teams he would say MJ is by far better. You have to look at things realistically.

People think Kobe was clutch player compared to Lebron bc he was a shoot first guy, but when you actually look at the numbers Lebron is the most clutch great player since MJ and the numbers are very very close to his

SJ kid that was in high school in the early 90s.

At least I'm not a woman. Those creatures are indeed difficult to have a conversation with

I agree to a point. As Shaqdaddy points out, some of it depends on how you want to tweak the numbers. But, the fact is, Lebron has become a clutch player. We can argue all day and night whether he is "more clutch" than other all timers or not, but whether or not he's a clutch player is no longer a debate, imo.

I think that he gets discounted some because earlier in his career (including his first season or 2 in Miami) he was always looking to "make the right basketball play." That's fine for most of the game, and as a Lakers fan, there were plenty of times when I would get frustrated with Kobe for not making the right basketball play.

The problem for Lebron was that, earlier in his career, he would look to make the right basketball play rather than the right "superstar play." There are just times in the game, especially late, when you're superstar player shooting over 2 defenders is a better shot than a non superstar player shooting an open shot.

Superstars are paid to take those kinds of shots in tough situations. Too often in the past, Lebron seemed reluctant to take on that responsibility and while that's no longer the case, it still gets held against him.
