He was considered a top 20 pick based on game film. I fail to see why him running a slow time changes everything on the field.

Honeybadger fell after a similar time too.

My guess would be -- in college, you don't face the best of the best every week. You can get by being on the slower side and be a great CB still. In the NFL, everyone can run.

Everything I've read is he is great at shadowing receivers, but it is tough to put a CB running a 4.6 on the outside because you will have to roll the safety to his side of the field or risk having him get beat deep.

That being said -- I'm just happy to see Detroit going after the defensive side of the ball. We really need to get a pass rusher now though to help out Ansah.

I remember when I was told I was dumb ass for saying Reggie McKenzie was better than Maybew. He's done a great job out there.

No, it wasn't you. That would mean you gave Maybew a compliment and we know that ain't true. You called me a dumb ass for other reasons.

Sounds about right.

HoneyBadger was going to rehab for heroin.

I'm half surprised he isn't dead. Honestly.

Kudos to him for getting his life out the gutter.

LOL at McShay discounting Awuzie on game film from his Bowl game vs. Okie small. Fuck, kid had a turf toe injury 2nd day of Bowl game practice and still played in that game. This McShay muthafuggah should know that.

My draft magazine (Lindy's) has Tabor as the no.2 CB in the draft. This was before the combine. Says he's more quick than fast, and may lack elite speed, and cites some past off field issues. But they compare him to Patrick Peterson.

Tabor running a 4.65 doesn't bother me. He gets rattled mentally when burned and his mechanics/technique fall way off due to frustration.

at worse he'd be a good safety. he's so much better when he has yardage in front of him to see what's coming at him.

It'll all work out though.

Lions selected Florida CB Teez Tabor with the No. 53 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Tabor (6’1/199) made 26 starts in three years as a Gator, tallying 33 pass breakups and nine picks, three of which he returned to the house. He was named first-team All-SEC by the conference’s coaches as both a true sophomore and junior. PFF College charted Tabor with just a 41.2 passer rating and two touchdown passes allowed in his college career. Tabor’s NFL prospects came under intense scrutiny when he bombed pre-draft workouts, running 4.62 with a 31-inch vertical.

Great pick if you don't put too much stock into the combine.

I try not to take much stock in the combine. I would've preferred a D linemen.
