Dude, they spent two 1st's and a 3rd on a guy most thought was a 2nd round pick. Why don't people get this? They gave what the Bears traded for f'ing Cutler... lol

In no world, is that worse than giving a few middle round picks to get the consensus top QB prospect.

Also, by the times Mahomes is ready, that team could be a shell of what it has been the past couple of seasons. Not having a first next year could wind up being huge. A few injuries and bad breaks is all that keeps any team from finishing with a top ten pick.

I honestly think you're completely wrong, and so does Andy Reid, and I think I take Andy Reid's decision making over yours.

There's a reason that ken Dorsey looked like a kid in the candy store the minute Mahomes name was announced, he knows he just hit the jackpot.

I also take Ken Dorsey's opinion a lot more highly than yours as well, if we're being honest here.

That's funny. Cam Newton and Trubinsky in the same sentence.

Warner - undrafted
Garcia - undrafted

Yeah you can throw Cam out. Trubinsky isn't 6'6 250 with a cannon. And he didn't win a natty to earn that #1 overall pick

What does where they were drafted (or not drafted) have to do with it? LMAO, this is hilarious. They were successful, and didn't play a lot in college.

You don't just get to make up rules here... lol. You asked for successful QB's who had limited college experience, I gave them to you.

"Oh, he's 4 inches taller and black. So the one example that emphatically proves me wrong, it doesn't count! BECAUSE I SAY SO!"... You don't think there's been big QB's with cannons that sucked in the NFL? Newton could have busted as easily as anyone. Don't you remember how many people speculated over taking him #1? So many question marks about his character, NFL readiness... etc..

You're making an utter fool out of yourself. This is pure entertainment right now.

Most comparison I've seen on Mahomes have been to Jay Cutler. Huge arm, athletic, but terrible mechanics and decision-making.

Even if he's the next star, the Chiefs certainly gave up plenty and to say that wasn't a huge gamble, but the Bears' decision was, is disingenuous af IMHO.

Okay, let's all just take the NFL GM, coaches and analysts opinion guys... that's what we do now. No more discussing sports on SportsHoopla. We're shutting the site down. Everybody out! Move it!

By your logic, Trubisky is going to be great too... Fox and Pace were grinning ear-to-ear like school children trading the phone back and forth to each other when talking to Trubisky. I happen to take John Fox, a two-time Super Bowl head coach, and Ryan Pace's opinion more highly than yours.

NFL coaches and management chose Trubisky over Mahomes, and since the new rules is that only NFL executives and coaches opinions count. That means that I am right, and Trubisky is the better prospect. No?

I am just using your logic here buddy.

As stated, you are being disingenuous as hell. You seem to have a pretty big bias towards Mahomes/KC. To say the Bears giving up two 3rd's and a 4th to get the #1 consensus prospect is reckless. Then to also say KC giving up a 1st and a 3rd to take a 2nd round valued QB at #10 overall, is smart... That's just lying to yourself.

Quite frankly, I don't care if I seem butt hurt. Do you know what it's like being a Bears fan right now, it's never stopping? On here... in real life. lol

Suck a fart out of my aching butt hurt ass.

"What does where they were drafted/not draft have to do with it?" :L

Seriously? LMAO We are talking about the draft here. 1 year college QBs that did anything in the NFL. Warner and Garcia were good but THEY DIDN'T GET DRAFTED MUCH LESS GO #2 OVERALL.

Trubinsky is a 1 year starter and those are the guys you threw at me in comparison and now you're going 180/menopausal?

Cam Newton - I've already tried to break it down for you why he got to be #1 overall. He's a mutant and actually won big games in college.

I think when you give up 3 picks in this draft - you're definitely not building much through the draft. You could have gotten a stud DB or a guy like Jonathan Allen at 3 who's going to be a dam good Dline guy for years.

And where did Jonathan Allen end up going? in the teens to Washington?

I am hearing more rumors this morning that are very interesting and I guess they might be true if we never trade with San Francisco again.

49ers were convinced the bears were moving up to get Soloman Thomas. They either wanted Trubisky and thought they would pick up 3 more draft choices to bargain with, or they were expecting Cleveland to give them more when the bears did not pick trubisky.

Part of the telecast I was watching those "experts" said, San Fran knows who the bears are taking if they ever want to trade with them again, and word is going to get around the league very quickly that the bears are not to be trusted. I always watch NFL network because of Deion Sanders being genuine in welcoming these guys to the league.

I'm a Dolphins fan, I was just giving my opinion on the matter, which you for some reason took to heart.

The only reason I would imagine that you took it to heart, is because you are nervous that the Bears, once again fucked up the draft and the future of the team.

Either way, I don't give a shit about the Bears, or the Chiefs, I'm also an FSU fan so I don't give a shit about Trubisky/Mahomes either, I just watched the tape, and once again gave my opinion which you shit all over because you are a noisy little faggot.

They really didn't give up 3 in this draft. They gave up 2 picks in the draft. I don't think you really count the No. 3 overall, as they didn't lose anything on that, picking at 2.

They gave up a third and a fourth this year and a third next year.

San Fran flipped one to move up into the first.

The interesting tape was watching Myles Garrett destroy Trubisky.

I am not a fan of him sitting tho.

Get him on the field. Don't waste his youth.
He's got to earn it. Rodgers sat behind Favre. Brady sat behind Drew Bledsoe. Brees sat behind Doug Flutie. Steve young sat behind joe Montana. Joe Montana sat behind steve DeBerg. John Elway started out starting, but after being replaced by Steve DeBerg for 2 games he sat behind Steve DeBerg. I am a big proponent of letting a rookie QB learn on the bench and earn the position as starter. I know there are good QBs who start from day one (Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, etc.) but they are much different types of QBs that Trubisky. I don't think Trubisky is NFL ready at this point. Mike Glennon may be average at the QB position, but he is definitely going to show Trubisky how to be a leader on and off the field. He will make for a great mentor. Mark Sanchez is a clumsy QB, but I think that is also why they brought him in, to help develop Trubisky. Mark Sanchez may suck in games, but one thing I've always heard about him is he is a consummate professional. If we had a sure fire starter that looks like a franchise QB coming out of college I would entertain the idea of starting him from day 1, but that's not what Trubisky is yet. Part of what played into his success in college was learning on the bench.

I had my QB rankings for this draft as

1. Mahomes
2. Trubisky
3. Kizer
4. Kaaya
5. Watson

People are sleeping on Mahomes, and they shouldn't be, he has one of the best arms I've ever seen, and has never played football full time, he's always been a two way baseball player almost his whole life.

He's going to do big things learning from Smith and Reid, the reason Reid took him is because if you watch the tape, he looks like a black Brett Favre.
That's not necessarily a good thing. All the great QBs have been playing the game their whole lives and have picked up on the nuances of the QB position since at least high school. People are saying things about Mahommes that they were saying about Cutler. Jamarcus Russell got picked first overall for the same reason Mahomes got drafted so high. I'm not too high on Mahomes, but like everyone with an opinion on this draft, I could easily be wrong.

Fucked up the draft... again? This regime has been in place for 2 drafts, prior to yesterday... and so far, most here will tell you that they're happy with the drafts we've had. Pretty darn successful, only minus being White who got hurt.

You're taking this way too seriously, and don't seem to be able to take any criticism of your talking points.

I take criticism just fine, you were just an asshole about it, bud.

The reason the Chiefs could take the chance, unlike the Bears should have, is that they are stacked, they have a solid top 10 QB, and have 10 picks in this years draft.

The Chiefs reaching was a smart gamble, the Bears reaching was pretty meh.

But Trubisky shows a lot of promise, he's an even bigger project than Mahomes imo.
Mahomes is the biggest project in the draft...

And Alex Smith isn't a top ten QB. I think Mike Glennon is going to be about as good as Alex Smith, which is average. KC can wait a long time before seeing Mahomes play though. He could learn on the bench for over two years. That's quite the luxury if you ask me.
