Early Signing passed.

10th assistant coach passed.

Satellite camps limited to only 10 days total, and no more highschools.

Coaches can no longer hire people associated with a recruit for 2 years before and after they are at school.

So basically, Harbaugh has more time for sleepovers.

You forgot two new rules... and the first one is a big one.... it's especially good for the far away schools in the middle of nowhere (such as Nebraska).

Recruits can now take official visits (paid by the school) in their Junior year of High school during April, May, and June. The old rule restricted kids from taking official visits until their Senior year classes began in September.

Combine this new rule with last years new rule allowing parents to accompany recruits on official visits, with the parents expenses also paid by the school, and you now have a great situation which levels the playing field in recruiting for the far away schools (where many kids cannot afford to travel on unofficial visits).

NCAA DI Council approves early signing period for football, prohibits oversigning

Also... no more oversigning... 25 maximum now... I suppose we can call this the SEC rule?

For the moat part I think the rules are for the best. Not any rule I really am 100 % against. Being able to have practice for a week with access to 15 of the top 150 recruits in the nation needed to be stopped.

Even if your team has scholarship players transferring etc? Sometimes 'oversigning' is done to get back to a full slate of scholarships. Not in all cases but in some.

Give schollies to kids that stick around...no one is forcing a school to offer a kid who is a flight risk.

The satellite camp rule blows. That's going to screw Washington.

If you weren't good enough to get one in the first place doubtful you did much to change that opinion while likely sitting the pine.

add in a few NCAA rule changes + cash = CFP

seems legit.
If the PAC AD's would pull their heads out of their arses they'd fire Larry Scott yesterday and get us a commish that would get the PAC Network on DTV so fans could actually watch their teams play.

And pull in Oklahoma/Texas

@AlaskaGuy
This is what it should have been and would have been if Larry Scott wasn't such a fvkn idiot. Both Okie schools asked to join the PAC back in '12 and like the idiot he is he had to make Texas part of the package. If he would have taken the Okie schools it would have forced Bevo's hand to either go Indy or join the PAC.

That's the original PAC-8 before the conference added the two Zona schools to make the PAC-10. Washington was a founding member of the conference.

It is going to screw every school west of Texas outside of USC and UCLA.
